BoomCast is an app for creating AI-generated videos and sharing them with a community. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, email us.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run BoomCast: your account, your content, and your purchases.
- Your prompts and photos are sent to AI partners only to generate your videos.
- We don’t sell your data. We don’t show third-party ads. We don’t use your content to train our own models.
- Private videos stay private. You can delete your account — and everything with it — inside the app.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive your name (if shared), email address, and a unique account identifier. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your real email; that works fully with BoomCast.
Profile information. Your display name, username, bio, and avatar photo — all optional except the username, and all editable in Settings.
Content you create. The photos you upload (products, selfies, logos), the ideas and scripts you type or dictate, and the videos BoomCast generates for you. Dictation is processed by Apple’s on-device speech frameworks; we only receive the resulting text.
Purchase information. Purchases run through Apple’s App Store and our billing partner RevenueCat. We receive receipts, product identifiers, and your credit balance. We never see your card number or payment credentials.
Community activity. Likes, follows, remixes, video views, reports you file, and creators you block — the signals that make the community feed work.
Device information. A push-notification token (if you turn notifications on), app version, and basic diagnostic logs when something goes wrong.
How we use it
- To generate your videos: your prompts, photos, and style choices are sent to our AI processing partners (via kie.ai, including video and image models such as Seedance and Nano Banana, and language models such as Claude) solely to produce your content.
- To run your account: authentication, credit ledger, purchases, and sync.
- To operate the community: feeds, profiles, likes, remix royalties, referral rewards.
- To keep BoomCast safe: reviewing reported content, enforcing our Community Guidelines.
- To notify you: render-complete, likes, follows, and credit rewards — only if you opt in to notifications, and you can turn them off in iOS Settings at any time.
- To improve the app: aggregate, de-identified usage and crash diagnostics.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for third-party advertising, or use your content to train models.
Who processes your data
We use a small set of service providers, each bound to process data only on our behalf:

Content sent to AI partners is used to fulfill your generation request. Data is processed in the United States.
Visibility of your content
You choose each video’s visibility. Public videos appear on the Explore feed and your public profile, along with your username. Private videos are visible only to you. If you enable remixing on a public video, other creators may reuse its style recipe (never your private uploads) and you earn credit royalties when they do.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) permanently removes your profile, videos, uploads, credit history, and community activity. Purchase records required for accounting are retained as the law requires. Subscriptions must be cancelled separately with Apple.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we extend the same rights: you can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Most of it is directly editable in the app; for anything else, email hi@boomcast.app and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
BoomCast is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, storage access is scoped per user with row-level security, and payment credentials never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.
Changes
We’ll post any material changes here and update the effective date. Continued use of BoomCast after a change means you accept the updated policy.
